The Providence Queen

The Providence Queen is a seafaring merchant vessel that operates along the Sword Coast, known for running trade routes south toward Keoland. Under the command of Captain Eriac and First Mate Nika, the ship became a vital asset to the adventurers known as the Magnificent Five during their journey to the far north.

The Charter

While in Neverwinter preparing for an expedition to the frozen north, Gilmore and Erëvyn Sehahine sought a means of transport to bypass hostile land routes. Through Erëvyn’s sister, Ophelia, they learned of The Providence Queen docked in the city’s harbor. For a fee of 500 gold, they hired Captain Eriac to take them to the northern shores, as close as possible to the Throat of the World Mountains, west of Luskan.

Voyage into the Fog

The first few days of the journey proceeded peacefully, with Gilmore even catching a large fish using tactics from his home island of Stork’s Rest. However, on the fourth morning, a dense, unnatural fog enveloped the ship. Unable to see, the ship scraped against rocks and became moored on the coast of a mysterious, uncharted island.

The Morkoth Island and Repairs

Leaving the ship temporarily grounded, the adventurers searched the island for wood to make repairs. They found a bizarre island filled with strange knickknacks and art, ruled by a telepathic Morkoth that had lured the ship and stolen their belongings. After defeating the creature, the party returned to the ship with a massive hoard of treasure. They spent the day assisting the crew with repairs. Once the repairs were complete and the fog lifted, The Providence Queen resumed its journey north.
